Introduction
My name is E. Drake, and I completed the Education Specialist Degree program in Instructional Technology at Kennesaw State University. I began the program Spring 2018 and graduated in the Summer of 2019. I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. Later, I graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Master's Degree in Secondary Education with a major in Social Science. After graduation, I began teaching Social Studies at the middle school level. My first job as an educator was working at a school with one-to-one laptop instruction. This began my love of infusing technology in education. After many years of teaching at the middle school level, I moved to the high school level where I taught 9th - 12th grade. Currently, I am teaching middle school Social Studies at a virtual school here in Georgia. I also serve my school as a member of the technology team, by helping with inhouse tech support and professional development, blending my enthusiasm for teaching with my zest for technology integration.
The purpose of this portfolio is for me to demonstrate mastery of the PSC Instructional Technology standards and the ISTE NETS-C standards. This portfolio includes links above to my video reflection, resume, vision, diversity, standards, field experiences, blog and my capstone. Of specific focus for your review, are artifacts for each standard and the associated reflections that clarify my mastery of these standards. They are accessible via the STANDARDS link above.
While at Kennesaw State University, I have been afforded the opportunity to learn from caring, knowledgeable, and insightful professors. The Department of Education in the Bagwell College of Education has provided me with the knowledge, skills, and experience to successfully model, lead, and influence my school and my district in the field of Instructional Technology and beyond.
